Pharmacist
A pharmacist is an expert in medicines and their use. Pharmacists distribute prescription drugs to individuals. They also advise their patients, as well as physicians and other health practitioners, on the selection, dosages, interactions, and side effects of medications.
Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy technicians support and assist licensed pharmacists by providing medication and other health care products to patients and by performing duties that do not require the professional skills of the pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians must have a broad, well-rounded knowledge of the total pharmacy practice that will allow them to function competently and effectively in all pharmacy applications.
