Girl Scouting at Ochsner

On Saturday, February 27, Ochsner’s Academic Outreach team hosted its third annual Girl Scouts Science Discovery Day in the Brent House Conference Center and iLab. Six Girl Scout troops attended the event: Troop #1228 from Metairie, Troop #408 from River Ridge, Troop #821 from New Orleans, Troop #10845 from Denham Springs, Troop #30111 from Slidell, and Troop #21114 from Luling.
The theme was “February in Review,” celebrating Valentine’s Day, Groundhog Day, Presidents Day, Mardi Gras, and the Saints’ Super Bowl victory. The girls completed various experience, including documentation of what was learned, to receive their Science Discovery patches and as well as goodie bags filled with holiday treats and toothbrushes.
