| Ochsner’s Academic Outreach office is pleased to announce the successful completion of the spring 2010 cycle of the Medical Explorers Post program. The Medical Explorers Post is an afterschool program for high school students with a keen interest in the science and health care professions, sponsored by the Boy Scouts of Southeast Louisiana Council and Learning for Life.
This year’s Medical Explorers program ran from February to April. The five meetings consisted of presentations by health care professionals, tours of various departments, and hands-on learning experiences. At the conclusion of the program, the students received certificates of completion and information about opportunities to develop their interests through volunteering and shadowing at Ochsner.
