Stephen Gavin Promoted to Director, Cardiology Research

(September 21, 2011) The Academic Division is pleased to announce that Stephen Gavin RN, BSN, CCRP has been promoted to Director, Cardiology Research.
Stephen joined Ochsner last year as the manager of cardiology clinical trials. In his new role, Stephen’s responsibility expands to include all areas of cardiovascular research, including interventional cardiology, arrhythmia, consultative cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, and vascular medicine.
Stephen was born and raised in New York City where he earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hunter Bellevue School of Nursing. He has 22 years of healthcare management experience and 8 years’ experience in clinical trials management. Stephen is well respected in the field of healthcare research and has held leadership roles in many prominent institutions including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Beth Israel Medical Center, Tulane Cancer Center, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He has published in research management and has presented many times on good clinical practice and regulatory affairs. |
