Allison Sharai, Senior Administrator of Academic Outreach, Melisa Enclade, Academic Outreach Services Coordinator, and Jawed Alam, PhD, selected 26 students to interview from the 61 applicants. Those 26 students then underwent half-hour interviews by a team of 3 questioners. The interviews were conducted over the course of 6 evenings. Along with the core team of Allison, Melisa, and Jawed, guest interviewers this year included Carl Tholen, Drs. Julia Cook and T. Cooper Woods, Bob Jones, Avery Corenswet, and Kathleen McFadden.

The STAR students and their parents will attend a meet and greet on May 15 where they will have the opportunity to get acquainted with each other and learn more about this summer’s program. The program begins on June 11 and concludes on July 19.

Congratulations to this year’s STAR class!
