Neurology

The Department of Neurology is actively involved in studies involving memory loss, including dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer's disease, as well as headaches and migraines, stroke, and movement disorders including Parkinson's disease, normal pressure hydrocephalus, essential tremor, and dystonia. Additional research areas involve sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, and insomnia; nerve and muscle disorders, including carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathy, and myasthenia gravis; epilepsy and seizures; and multiple sclerosis.
