Sports Medicine
The Sports Medicine Department at Ochsner is committed to furthering medical knowledge through research and educational activities. The Sports Medicine Department consists of a team of doctors, athletic trainers, and physical therapists who are committed to helping patients return to their desired level of activity or sport after an injury or illness by providing the best possible care.
This team is actively pursuing the latest treatments and rehabilitation ideas through many diverse research projects. These research projects include studies to improve surgical techniques and treatment procedures, to identify the most appropriate course of treatment for each patient, and to develop the best plan for rehabilitation.
