A true need exists for this important event, designed to bring together clinicians, oncology nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and others in order to discuss the importance of utilizing a multidisciplinary evidence-based approach to cancer care. We will also discuss the importance of following established treatment guidelines, such as the NCCN guidelines for cancer patients. We have identified many areas within the Southeastern United States that we can improve upon to enhance the standard of care and overall treatment options for our cancer patients. The CME event will provide an invaluable resource to any healthcare provider who treats cancer patients in their practice, further educating them on the importance of quality control measures in treating and managing cancer patients. For additional information call the Ochsner CME Department at (800) 778-9353.
