Health Insurance Benefits
The following benefits are available to the insured resident and eligible dependents when care is provided or referred by an Ochsner primary care physician:
- No claim forms for Ochsner Clinic and Ochsner hospital services (in network)
- $20 co-pay for office visits
- 100% coverage for inpatient care
- Eye exam, well child care, and other wellness benefits
- Coverage begins on the first recognized day of training
Life Insurance
The Foundation provides $40,000 group term life insurance at no cost to the resident.
Dental Insurance
Dental care is provided through the CIGNA insurance company. We provide two program options: a traditional indemnity plan or a managed dental care plan.
Disability Income Plan
The benefit for total disability is up to 2/3 of stipends.
