STAR 2010 Dates to Remember:

January 27, 2010	STAR 2010 Informational Session. Click HERE for the Informational Flyer and more details....
February 23, 2010	STAR 2010 Complete Applications are due by 4:00 p.m.
March 2010	STAR 2010 Interviews will be conducted with the top student applicants.
March 2010	STAR 2010 Student Scholars will be contacted and announced publicly.
May 11, 2010	STAR 2010 Student Scholars and Family Meet & Greet will be held.
June 7-July 16, 2010	STAR Program 2010
July 21, 2010	STAR 2010 Culmination Ceremony

You must be 16 years old by May 1, 2010.
An informational session will be held on January 27, 2010, for all students, parents, and community members who are interested in STAR 2010.
The selection process has two rounds: application and interview.
The application questions include contact and school information, short answer questions, and one essay.
You must have two different community members and/or teachers write letters of recommendation and complete recommendation forms on your behalf.
Selections for the interview round will be made based on all of your application and recommendation elements. Administration looks at the whole student, not just grades and test scores.
Before submitting an application, be completely sure that you are able to participate for entire length of the program, should you be accepted.
