The Department of Cardiology is involved in a wide range of research programs that span all of the cardiovascular subspecialty areas. The goal of cardiovascular research is to advance knowledge of the mechanisms, diagnoses, and treatments of cardiovascular disease. Medical drugs and devices are studied to find ways to improve patient care.
