Clinical Trial Listing

2003.129.B - Colon and Rectal Surgery and the effects of Mechanical Bowel Preparation
This study seeks to determine if elective colon and rectal resection surgery can be safely performed without bowel preparation.

2003.845.W - Fecal Incontinence and the effects of Medtronic InterStim Therapy
This study is assessing the safety and effectiveness of stimulating the sacral nerve using the Medtronic InterStim Therapy for patients with fecal incontinence.

2006.164.A - Migraines and the effects of the AMPLATZER PFO Occluder
This study is seeking to treat patients who have treatment resistant migraines who also have a Patent Foramen Ovale.

2007.182.C - Colon Cancer - are there molecular causes for recurrence?
The study is trying to determine why some sage II colon cancers recur and some do not. The study is examining if the behavior of stage II colon cancers can be predicted by the activity of its genetic make-up. The study will measure whether the activity of different sets of genes can allow doctors to predict things about how tumor cells will behave and be affected by treatments. The study will also follow patient out comes for recurrance for upto 3 years after surgery.

2008.100.A - PriSm and the effects of Strattice Mesh
To study the effectiveness of Strattice (a mesh overlay) in preventing hernias in patients getting a permanant ostomy (opening in the abdominal wall where the bowel is attached).

2008.124.N - Rectal Cancer and the effects of Laparoscopic-Assisted vs Open Resection
This randomized phase III trial is studying laparoscopic-assisted resection to see how well it works compared with open resection in treating patients with stage IIA, stage IIIA, or stage IIIB rectal cancer.

2009.037.A - Identifying colorectal cancer cells that are resistant to treatment and may cause recurrence
The study is trying to determine why some colorectal cancers recur and some do not. The study is examining how to identify some cells which are resistant to current treatments.  Once these cells can be reliably identified, new ways to treat these cells will be explored.

2010.061.A - Colon Cancer and the effects of Rosuvastatin
This randomized phase III trial is studying rosuvastatin to see how well it works compared with placebo in treating patients with stage I or stage II colon cancer that was removed by surgery.

2010.107.B - Crohn's Disease and the effects of REMICADE (infliximab)
The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of REMICADE® (infliximab) in preventing relapse of Crohn’s Disease (CD) after surgical resection.

2010.151.N - Colorectal Cancer and the Effects of Chemotherapy and Bevacizumab
This randomized phase III trial is studying giving combination chemotherapy and bevacizumab together before and after surgery to see how well it works compared to giving combination chemotherapy and bevacizumab together after surgery in treating patients with colorectal cancer with liver metastases that could be removed by surgery. (Bevacizumab treatment closed as of 11/15/2010).

2010.156.N - Colon Cancer and the effects of Celecoxib
This randomized phase III trial is studying giving oxaliplatin, leucovorin calcium, and fluorouracil together to compare how well they work when given together with or without celecoxib in treating patients with stage III colon cancer previously treated with surgery.

Colorectal Cancer and the Effects of Irinotecan Hydrochloride and Cetuximab
This randomized phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well giving cetuximab and irinotecan hydrochloride with or without ramucirumab work in treating patients with advanced colorectal cancer with progressive disease after treatment with bevacizumab-containing chemotherapy.
