Ochsner's Department of Radiology offers a full spectrum of radiological services provided by nationally recognized, subspecialized radiologists. We offer a full array of diagnostic and treatment procedures using some of the most advanced technology available.
The Radiology Department is one of the leading radiologic academic centers in the world as well as one of the busiest clinical departments in the country. Each year, thousands of examinations are performed and interpreted by Ochsner radiologists.
In addition to publishing numerous peer-reviewed papers yearly and leading several national organizations, department radiologists are involved in cutting-edge research in a wide variety of areas, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cardiac imaging, digital radiography, digital mammography, electronic image distribution, and ultrasound.
The department is composed of Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Abdominal Imaging, Breast Imaging, CT Scanning, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Neuroradiology, Pediatric Radiology, and Vascular and Interventional Imaging.
